2017 saw the second of the annual Street Art competitions organized and sponsored by Proud Partners and hosted by the PJ Olivier Art Centre in Stellenbosch.

The competition is closed, the 5 winning artists had been announced and executed their artworks all over Stellenbosch.

At the opening of PJ Olivier Art Centre's birthday celebrations held on 2 September, they each received R1 520. The following winners were also announced:

The artist who received the most likes on PJO inni Bosch's instagram page was Lara Burger for her striking piano artwork on a street outside a music centre. She received an additional R1 000 in prize money.

Proud Partners gave another R1 000 for the artwork of their choice. This prize went to Estelle Truter for the innovative way she turned a creeper on a wall into a beautiful painting of a girl on a swing.

The Teacher's Choice winner was also awarded with an additional R1000. This prize went to Tasche Adams for het gigantic colourful mural of the sloth listening to music.

Proud Partners congratulate these finalists and winners for a job well done!

The artworks will stay for 6 months, after which it's fate will be decided by the municipality or business that it impacts.

Here are the 5 finalists as chosen by our judges. Their winning concepts were executed as artworks all over Stellenbosch:
