Junior  Rosa  Choir
The Junior Rosa Choir is an initiative of the Cape Cultural Collective. The Collective's vision is to unite and empower artists and communities in Cape Town through arts and culture and consists of numerous projects, including choirs, monthly cultural programmes, poetry collaborations and cultural tourism.
The Junior Rosa Choir was established in October 2015 and currently consists of about 25 children from various parts of Cape Town. Most of the choir members come from Langa, Manenberg and Gugulethu. They form a diverse choir that draws together children from all across class, color, religion, language and geographical areas.
The young ones are building up their confidence and a love for culture and music. It also provides a haven and keep the vulnerable children of the streets. They have a wide repertoire of songs and have performed on public platforms. Traditional Songs are also sung in three languages (Afrikaans, Xhosa and English) to give respect to different cultures.
Proud Partners contributed R20 000 towards the choir for much needed support. We wish them the best with their future performances.
